No one can steal your joy!

Really loved this!!!! Sometimes it feels that everyone and everything is out there to steal our joy but we control how we react. So true!!

The Persistent Platypus

Remember this: No one can steal your joy unless you allow them. There are always going to be people who upset you. There will always be circumstances we can’t control. Life is full of things we have no say over. However, the good news is that we have control over our responses. We have a say in how we react. When something doesn’t go your way, don’t give in to negativity. Tell yourself that this may not be how I wanted my day to go, but I am bigger than my circumstances. I am strong and I will make the choice to be joyful no matter what!

Remember, joy doesn’t have to mean happiness. If you are in a dark situation you can still have joy. You can hope for healing and have faith that your trial will come to pass. That is true joy. Never giving in when all…

Nothing like getting something done at the last minute lol

But at least it’s finished.. so there’s that 🙂

Power of Touch

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

Leo Buscaglia

I’m sitting in volunteer orientation again, listening to the massage therapist.   But it isn’t for me.  I am assisting with it this time.  But it is still a blessing and still speaks to me.

Weep with those that Weep..

15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16 Live in harmony with one another.

 Romans 12  NIV

This came to my mind today…  Mourn with those that mourn…  Perfect example of hospice…  This is not to say make it about yourself and your own issues.  But to recognize the pain in someone else’s heart and be able to share in their grief.  I think it’s one of the few things we can do as humans to connect to each others’ hearts.  Whether you are a Christian,  Jew, Hindu,  Buddhist, Muslim agnostic or atheist etc etc…  We as humans connect.  Forge bonds.  Learn about one another and hopefully grow.
There is a desire within us I think to truly feel another’s heart.
Compassion and love are beautiful gifts.  And ways we can reveal a bit of our hearts to another human in order to hopefully bless their life in some way.

Just a reminder for myself to be more empathetic…
